Pedro Rosa-Neto MD, PhD

Dr. Rosa-Neto is a clinical neurologist with over 25 years of experience in advanced brain imaging techniques, specializing PET and MRI to investigate and quantify neurological changes. His research focuses on the development of neuroimaging techniques and analytical frameworks for model neurodegenerative processes, including deposition of protein aggregates, metabolic dysfunction, and neuroreceptors alterations.
He serves as Director of the Translational Neuroimaging Laboratory and the McGill University Research for Studies in Aging, based at the Douglas Research Centre. Dr. Rosa-neto has authored more than 550 peer-reviewed publications in the field. He is currently affiliated with the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute at UT Southwestern Medical Centre in Dallas, Texas and holds a Professorship in the department of Neurology and Radiology.
Eduardo Zimmer PhD

Dr. Zimmer is an internationally recognized expert in neurodegenerative disease, with a primary focus research focuses on neuro-to-astrocyte communication, brain energy metabolism and neuroimaging. His work has been instrumental in redefining the biological interpretation of FDG-PET signals, demonstrating in vivo that modulation of astrocyte activity in rodent models can directly change brain metabolic. He has over than 15 years of experience in PET, MRI and more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in the field.
Dr. Zimmer currently serves as a Professor of and Pharmacology and Biochemistry at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, Brazil), an Adjunct Professor at McGill University (Montreal, Canada), and an Associate Researcher at the Brain Institute of Rio Grande do Sul.
Antonio Aliaga, PhD

Dr. Aliaga is a founder of ModivioBio and has more than 26 years of experience in the development of PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, and autoradiographic techniques. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers in this field. Dr. Aliaga is currently affiliated with the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre.
His expertise focuses on the development of protocols for small-animal PET, SPECT, CT and MRI in cardiology, oncology, and neurology. He also specializes in autoradiography, biodistribution, and pharmacokinetic studies of novel radiotracers.
He earned his MSc. in Nuclear Medicine and Radiobiology from the University of Sherbrooke, Canada. After working as a Research Assistant at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre at McGill University, he completed his PhD. in Biochemistry at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, Brazil).
